You should know that the authorities may withhold your property for the purpose of evidence,if such property may help establishing the perpetrator or the course of incident.
Those may include your personal belongings, as well as data storage, documents or pieces of clothing.
You have the right to recover those objects once they cease to be needed for the criminal proceeding.
If, however, those objects are still considered to be material evidence at the court proceeding, the court will decide about their status and whether to return them to the owner.
